kane    5/15/2007 1:55:59 PM
I know this is a military discussion board but I thought I should ask this There was a Turkic state in west of Hazar sea called Khazars. These guys were Turkic, they've converted into Judaism with the influence of Jews in the region. These Turkics later settled in East Europe and as I know mostly these "askenazi" were killed by Hitler.TheY're the founders of Yiddish rgiht? So does this mean some Jews have Turkic origins?A lot of Jews do not seem like semite either

I was referring to the genetic strains of Israeli Jews...
Judaists are called Jews...but that is because of their religion. I being a Turk myself can be a judaist to and people would call me Jew. The thing is, as &&05; know Jews are an ethnic people from semitic family. Now when we llok at Israel how many of them are from this ethnic family?
It's a fact that many people who has converted to Judaism at X century migrated to Israel.. These people were not from semites but they were Judaists...and most are in Israel right now....

The reason I meantioned Turks is that there used to be a lot of Jews in Eastern Europe....there were few Jews in northern caucus before, when Turkics came and converted to Judaism(.....later becoming Jews) they created a big Jewsih society there (and migrating to central Europe).....Hitler came and killed a lot of them though

Your words in themselves crystallize the fatuous nature of your argument. The Jewish people, "the people of the book" " a nation of priests"..."the chosen people" these are all accepted nomen clature in describing the Jewish identity. The very fact that you introduce a new label "Judaist" makes no difference. For the very etimology of the word "judaism" is derived to France during the napoleonic era, due to the napoleonic code, Jews were allowed to keep their religous identity, but sacrifice their national identity in order to be "French", thus the word "Judaism." Whats so ludicrous is the very name comes from the TRIBE of Judah. Tribe denotes blood relation in itself.

The irony when one comes across someone who wishes to deny the peopleness inherent within Jewish identity is they seem to not put as much vigor in the Palestinian case. A people 100 yrs old at best. Before the re-establishment of Israel the jews in the territory were known as palestinians. The palestinian has no distinction from their arab brothers other then the unique geography . Never in the annals of human history has their been a palestinian state. The Palestinian city we call today "nablus" which palestinian propoganda would have us believe that this city has been there since time imemorial is a perfect example of palestinian mythodology. What is funny here, is that the very name Nablus was derived from the name naples which the romans originally called the city. The fact that arab dialects have transformed the sound "p" to a "b" seems to me to be ignored in the force of the palestinian historical myth.

Matrilineal descent and the historically small demographic narrative found with the Jews (currently 13 million) are too features that speaks of blood continuity within the Jewish people. The very nature of Jewish culture in its assimilation of the non-jew is non missionary, creating obstacles rather then ease in its initiation. Thus though exists converts it has never been  to the proportion to deny clear blood relations and jewish lineage. The fact that on any given saturday you will find Jews that are identified as kohanim and levites also prove the absurdity in the argument. Two subset populations in Jewish demography that directly link their identity through lineage. But this is less important then the actual characteristcs of the Jewish people that creates a very real distinction beyond just spirituality, whereas palestinians have no destinctions from any of the 20+ arab states. First, Jews have their own unique language...Palestinians have not. Jewish have historical religion, when they celebrate pesach, sukkot, and shavuot they are in ritual as well as intention a re-enactment of their ancestors experience, and not religion of dogma and creed. Palestinians are predominanlty muslim like the rest of the arab world. The Jews have distinct laws and values, the palestinians have voted for hamas a movement that stands for no such nationalisms but an islamic califate ruled by a borg like sharia.

The Jews for thousands of years were denied equality based on their religious identity, how convenient after 60 yrs of national independence the world now will deny the Jews their peoplehood. It is the same anti-semitism in different clothing. Anti zionism, the denial of the Jewish peoples right to nationhood is just as intellectually ignorant as the unreasoned hate that denied Jews their religous quality. Jews are both spirituality and nationhood, in correct political science terms, it is classified as a religio-nation.

"If the jew didn't exist the anti-semite would invent him"

Do not get me wrong I'm not trying to judge anything....I'm not a believer either nor I said Jews influenced people to be judaist or anything.
Ok let's say there is a Muslim country...like the Islamic empire and not other muslims state on earth.People living in this state could be from different races but they're called Muslims....so a Muslim from another country could be automatically thought from this country and same race...eventually all the people living in this state's race is Muslim. It's similar to that.
I'm not saying anything against Israel or history of Jews.....there are no pure races anyway.
PS:I'm not a racist...I used the word "pure race" but don't get it wrong :)
