Shalom! What do you guys think would be the result of a war between Turkey and Israel(leaving out nukes)... I know that it won't happen because we are friends. But I'm curious... both nations have a lot of experience in warfare and are ferocious fighters. ?

You'd have to able to take a hit and retaliate effectivley. Good intel and high tech wins the nuke war.

Your knowledge is lacking Titan not Shirrush's. Israel do not need Thermonuclear weapons because most of Israel's enemies are close to Israel border. Thermonuclear Weapons are so powerful that if they use them at such close distance such as against Damascus or Baghdat; fallout will also severaly affect Israel. Israel leaders are wise enough not to spend money to something they will never use.

What makes you so sure that they don't have them?

Thermonuclear is a weapon who has enemies a continent away. Tactical Nuclear weapons are all Israel needed as none of his enemies have any nuclear. My reasoning is necessity. Israel can not use Thermonuclear against his enemies (due to fallout). So why to have them.

First and foremost, the State of Israel and the Turkish Republic will never be in a state of war (well for the forseeable future anyway). Both States are staunch allies and have no reason to go to war. Our cultural, historical and even religious similarities also support the aforementioned assertion.

Having said this, this does not preclude us from letting loose our vivid and sometimes sadistic imaginations and discussing a possible Israel vs Turkey senario in 2015+.

Because wars do not occur in issolation I will not bother to discuss each States' seperate military branches in detail (i.e. Air Force, Army and Navy). What I will do is simply state each States' advantages and/or disadvantages.

For the Turkish Republic

Turkish Air Force Advantages

217 -   F-16 CCIP
30   -   F-16 Block 50+
52   -   F-4E 2020 Terminator (enhanced air-to-ground capabilities)
116 -   F-35 (with indegenous sub-systems)
Total: 415 Advanced State of the Art combat aircraft

7   -   KC-135R-CRAG Stratotankers (very important for power projection abroad)

6   -   Boeing/HAVELSAN 737-800 AEW&C MESA AWACS

Great post a (bit late  4 years actually) Turkey would probably win due to a massive naval advantage and only a small airiel deficit.  However Isreals defences are strong and so is its Mossad intelligence so you never know. Overall the odds would be Turkey 70 percent chance of winning. Although, logically this would never take place as Isreali-Turkic realtions are fair and various organistions and alliances would engross other belligraments into the affair.

If we think that war happens in Turkey, no one can beat Turks in Turkish territory. But If we think that war on Israel, Turkey will lost anything except manpower and money.
According to Israel history, Israel never fight without U.S supporting that is a great advantage for Israel
And Turkey never fight with supportation for example Cyprus war. U.S. imposed an embargo on Turkey
Israel defeated eight Arab countries in 6 days. Yes it was a great victory. But they have weak armies.
Turkey defeated U.K., France, Italy (if you want dont count them because italians retreat without war), Armenia years between 1920-24. After WW1 and they were trying to revolve agains the Ottoman. It was very hard situation and Turks did.
And the manpower thing etc. they made comment before me :D
