Destroyed the life's of 15,000 Americans for nothing the Iraqis will destroy Al Queda as soon as you are gone and for the people on this board to sit and say that their people should take casualties while they sit in nice safe homes is sickening sent to war by draft dodgers that's the standard of America today and level of degeneration of America today hard to believe you sent people to the Moon shame and shameful.............

"When the opposition wins next year which they will then we will gain control of the Scottish regiments and be in a position to pull them out of a stupid useless war that has done none of us any good."

Useless only because the majority of the planet, you and your ilk, have forgotten that war is sometimes necessary, and very ugly.  No surprise though, you after all fare from the "Peace in our Time" nation.  Go trade away the Czech's again, and enjoy sharia.

"Destroyed the life's of 15,000 Americans for nothing"

Mass murdering dictator who used CW on his own ppl.  Nothing?

"the Iraqis will destroy Al Queda as soon as you are gone"

This is correct, though let me refine it to the truth that you IGNORE.  The Iraqi's will destroy the SUNNI'S as soon as we pull out.  But hey, who cares about stopping that, obviously not a cultured EUROPEAN like you.  Go play with the EU, and enjoy sliding all the way into the past..

"and for the people on this board to sit and say that their people should take casualties while they sit in nice safe homes is sickening"

There are many posters on here who serve, if you can find a way for them to accept me with my back and asthma, please do. The Marines and the Army have said no to me.

"sent to war by draft dodgers that's the standard of America today and level of degeneration of America today hard to believe you sent people to the Moon shame and shameful............. "

This is about par for the course from you.  THE DRAFT WAS ENDED 1973.

But hey, don't let little things like FACTS get in the way of your antiamerican rant.  Enjoy the EU, you DESERVE your place in it.

Europeans may be cultured, but I don't think this one belongs in that category.  You don't know very much about America, do you foxbat3?  By the way foxbat3, it's "...the lives..." rather than "...the life's..." and try not to be so stingy with commas and periods, either.  I didn't know that Bush had also sent Scottish regiments to Iraq? I thought he only had the authority to send American soldiers.  You learn something every day. Wow!

The price we have paid, and paid alone I might add, we paid to keep Saddam's Iraq from degenerating into a failed state which would endanger the region and us. That is not nothing.

And there is no reason to believe anything other than that Al Qaeda (with the tacit complicity and aid of Sunni Arab states) will swell in strength in Iraq's Sunni strongholds constraining the Shia to keep themselves on their side of Iraq.

A quitter never wins and a winner never quits. That's the difference between failures and successes.

Well: sometimes it´s gambling and then it´s really essential to know when to quit. Sometimes stubbornness is just a sure method of losing maximum amount.

But leaving Iraq now is like paying yourself into table and then quitting before anything has been solved.

akcray    Leaving Iraq now is like what?   11/17/2006 10:21:01 PM
Let me ask you a question with an illustration.  Somebody hurts your family and you feel you have to vindicate them.  You gather all your buddies and but to the wrong house ( becuase you were misinformed) and start a big fight with the wrong people. You probably know that they had nothing to do with what happened to your family, but you are pissed of and don't care. You just want to kick somebody's ass to show that nobody can mess with your family and get away with it. To rationalise what you are doing you tell yourself and try very hard to convince the rest of the world that those people were dangerous anyway and real jerks who had it coming anyhow! But the fact is that they had nothing to do with what happened to your family. Having no choice, they defend themselves and beat up a few of your friends. Now you feel that you have a reason to continue fighting. It has nothing to do with your family anymore.  Is stopping the fight really a sign of weakness? Should we continue to lose people in a war that is not addressing the problem just so that it doesn't "look like" we had not accomplished anything?   If we beat "THE WRONG PEOPLE" to the ground and lose 3 thousand Americans in the process, have we really accomplished anything? Just wondering.

"Cruiser: I joined the army 'cause my father and my brother were in the army. I figured I better join before I got drafted.
Sergeant Hulka: Son, there ain't no draft no more.
Cruiser: There was one?

This idiot is about as funny as the movie.
