Subject: Americans must respect Islam
salaam al-aqaaid    5/13/2004 10:18:35 AM
The outrageous atrocities commited by Americans at the Abu al-Grayyib prison complex speaks to a need for the United States Americans to give sensetivity training to its entire military so that they will no longer offind Muslims with the contemptious use of women as prison guards and unsavery adiction to homosexual pornographies. These things are offinsive to the Muslims community. Have you no shame? You must remove all women and homosexuals from contact with Muslim prisoners. This is offinsive.

PlatypusMaximus: Check out the difference between "fear" and "respect" Azmodius: Granted, a hard-core muslim would follow those tenets, but there are plenty who are nominally Muslim and consider themselves as such, but are comparitively moderate. They are pretty difficult to tell apart, so blanket insensitivity would affect them too. "Muslims" is frequently used as a catch-all term for inhabitants of the Mid-East. Now, I'm not suggesting that one should bend over backwards to accomodate every whim, you just need to let the ones that cost you nothing slide.

"Check out the difference between "fear" and "respect"" Fear is a form of respect. It ensures you respect the threat.

That may be true flamingknives but these "moderates" as you call them will support the hard core. And im not blanketing people, im blanketing the religion itself. too bad if the "moderates" are offended by islam being exposed for what it is. most muslims dont even understand their own religion anyway. "Granted, a hard-core muslim would follow those tenets" So are you agreeing with my previous posts and statements regarding islam? that it is a racist, intolerant, hateful religion? The "tenents" the terrorists follow are not made up, interpreted, or fairy tales. If you do agree that the tenents i have posted are true, do you think the west should turn a blind eye to a doctrine that directs a billion people on this planet to behave the way the terroritst do or should we make an attempt to contain or destroy this doctrine (islam)?

The moderates will certainly support the hard-core, if you set yourself up on the other side by stating you aim to destroy Islam. Better to drive a wedge between the hard core and the majority and 'boil off' the nasties, which is a great deal easier when they have little or no support in the community. (cf Malaya, Kenya, Borneo) I'm not going to agree with the tenets you've posted, as I haven't read the texts in question. I think it more important that a proportion of Muslims (who are people, so to blanket the religion is the same as blanketing the people) believe that their religion preaches tolerance etc. If there are such passages in the Islamic texts, then the hard core will follow them, just as selective reading of the Bible can end up in some pretty extreme views and a perverted version of Bushido led to the barbarism of Imperial Japan.

For some reason though it doesnt bother me to think the whole world may someday be all christian or all jewish or all hindu but the thought that someday the whole world may be all islam scares the crap out of me. why is that? I used to be like a lot of people who thought islam is just another religion, live and let live. but after delving into it i found it is completely different than all other religions. its holy books actuallly lay down rules, commands for murder, thievery, barbarism that the other religions dont. there is nothing in the nw testament telling christians to kill, murder or main. In islam there IS. it is this difference that should change the way westerners view and deal with islam. You cant treat it or its followers with credibility.

I rather get a kick out of this guy's "These things are offinsive to the Muslims community.". My response - well who ever in this life said you have a right not to be offended? This is the problem with so many in this world today. I'm offended daily by many things and many people daily, but I don't take out my 9mm and start shooting people who offend me. Heck, I don't even burn the odd car. And thank heavens my wife doesn't either - she's particularily offended by my farting when watching TV. Of course I have to admit to ocassionally desiring one of those portable semi-automatic German 20mm WWII anti-tank rifle when I'm offended by yet another "gay" driver trying to drive up my rear on the highway..
