Subject: Iran Blocking the Strait of Hormuz. Why Do It?
CJH    12/29/2011 11:45:13 PM
Blocking Hormuz or attempting to block it would tend to boost crude prices wouldn't it? Would an increase in the price of crude oil tend to offset, for Iran, the effect of the sanctions against it? At this point, would it be otherwise advantageous for the mullahs to be at war with the West? Would some sort of war between the US and Iran be mutually advantageous for the mullahs considering Iranian domestic politics and also Obama considering Obama's political campaign needs?
