Subject: Israel Vs. Iran

Israel is a strong nation, But your probaly right that they would need our help to try stop Iran.But I think Iran is ran by religious insanists who thinks religion rules all. Iran is basically a repeat in time because the same thing happened with Rome 2,400 years ago because the Romans believed to much in christianity which caused them to become weak and to start civil wars. so i think the same thing will happen with Iranians.

Perhaps. I do not get my information from those sources, but I get your point. I was listening to a congressional meeting which involved a committee and the committee was basically grilling John Bolton. Bolton was so grilled on the subject of troops on the ground in Iran. Obviously, Bolton told the committee that he had no knowledge of troops on the ground. I was just stating what I heard from the committee members. Sorry if I did not word the statement more clearly. As for the subject matter, I do believe the US could take on Iran currently, and defeat them with no problem. Admiral Kirk

Oh, I misunderstood. I was trying to figure out what you meant in light of your past comments about how important you think this reagion/Iran is to Russia and China. Yes, we may very well have some special operations teams in Iran now. In fact, I hope we do. Displacedjim

Rome was battling civil wars long before Christ walked this earth...
 
The collapse of the Roman empire was brought about by financial collapse, as the senate slowly sold off land to pay their foreign mercenaries... Know of any other "empire" currently outsourcing a lot of their military roles?

The Roman Empire fell in about 400 A.D., so it's about 1600 years ago not 2400 and the christian religion was one of the causes of the weakness of the Roman Empire, but not the only one. So study history before posting crap analyses.
