was India right by voting against iran? In light of the LNG deal & abt. A decade ago, when Pakistan was all set to humiliate India before The United Nations over a dreaded resolution on Kashmir, it was Iran which was instrumental in defusing the crisis by prevailing Over Pakistan, is it not pathetic that New Delhi couldn’t reciprocate The same towards Tehran? So what makes US & India to be against Iran going nuclear? When they can posses nuclear weapons why can’t Iran?

I don't think the US or India have made public any genocidal objectives or goals.

(a). India has reasons to be concerned over Iran's nuclear programme, which is following the same path as Pakistan's. The late Zulfiquar Ali Bhutto and Zia-ul-Haq used to project Pakistan's programme as totally peaceful, but they secretly developed a military nuclear capability. Iran has clandestinely procured its uranium enrichment capability and technology from Pakistan’s rogue A Q Khan, with the knowledge and connivance of Pakistan's Army. (b). India worries over the danger of the fundamentalists coming to power in Pakistan and taking control of its nuclear arsenal. India should be even more worried about Iran, where the fundamentalists are already in power. Pakistan's sponsorship of cross-border terrorism in India is under the impression, right or wrong, that its nuclear arsenal has given it immunity against possible Indian retaliation. Neither India nor the US want this to be repeated in Iran. (c). The post-1979 regime in Iran has been friendly to India, but we must remember the Shah of Iran's collaboration with the Pakistan Army before 1979 ,despite his facade of friendship for India. If Iran acquires a military nuclear capability and a regime friendlier to Pakistan than to India emerges in Teheran, the additional threats to India's national security would be considerable
