Subject: What America's Docturine on warfare called?
The_Desert_Fox    1/27/2004 11:30:21 AM
I was just wondering if the US had a written down docturine of war. I imagine we use something simillar to the German Blitzkrieg or Lighting War. In fighting another large country those tactics seem to work. If we do have one written what do we call it. Thanks

The US Army's doctrine used to be called Air-Land Battle. They seem to be changing that now.

I believe I read that Air-Land Battle was replaced sometime in the early 90's, I think around the time Gen. Fred Franks was at TRADOC.
