Why not? No one is satisfied with the selection available. So work off your frustration: give the title and plot summary of your dream war movie.

Has anyone ever done a battle epic on the 1948 siege of Jerusalem?

Last of the Mohicans comes close.  Of course, from a historical perspective it deviated somewhat from what really happened at the fall of Fort William Henry but overall it wasn't too bad.

So for a new film I'd like to see something else set in Colonial America with a French and Indian or Revolutionary War theme.  Perhaps the battles of  Kings  Mountain or Cowpens.

Last of the Mohicans and The Patriot were well received, so the idea ought to work again.

I hated The Patriot. It had the annoying habit of assuming that the audience simplisticly demanded that everyone on the side opposing the one they rooted for be Evil, Evil, Evil.

Neither Exodus or Cast a Giant Shadow. More like the history "O Jerusalem" transliterated to cinema.

I would like to see a movie about WW2 but with today's TV media coverage.  Would include today's standards for criticism of leaders, coverage of combat loses, etc etc.- No World War Two censorship.

Try Curzio Malaparte. It's written journalism, but it comes close to the modern approach, minus the servility, cowardice, and mendacity.

"*Bravo Two Zero. 'Nuff said. Except which of the dozens of accounts to write about."

There's already a movie about that staring Sean Bean. I think it's based off the McNab book...

Check it out: ht*p://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120617/

I'd love to see a movie based on Captain Walker, the ultimate sub hunter!

Would be run to see a movie about Boudica and the Iceni revolt against the Romans...

this one from the point of view of Chris Ryan. made for TV but I remember it being alright.

Title: “A Warrior“.  Billy Waugh's HALO jumps into Laos.  Or any 12 month period out of his seven & one half years in S.E. Asia.
