I think the Corps would win, but both sides are tough as nails.

Let me go ahead and end this one : )... The US Marine Corps has 172,000 soldiers, about 2,000 M1 Abrams tanks, another 1,000 or 2,000 LAVs and other armored fighting vehicles, they have their own Air assets, and they are a self-sustaining force. The Legion has at most 10,000-15,000 soldiers, some helos, and possibly a few armored vehicles. We all know that the FFL is highly trained and loyal, but I don't think their high-speed training gives them the ability to fight the entire US Marine Corps. Battalion to Battalion, the Corps is still too heavy for the FFL to defeat... Same holds true all the way down the line, the Corps simply has too much firepower. The MAGTF setup is going to be extremely hard for anyone to beat

i don't think loyalty is an issue, as GV has said. they are known for their solidarity, despite the various nationalities in the corps, as you mentioned.

are you sure about the figure of 2,000 tanks for the MC? that's more than most countries! don't you mean 200?

2,000 tanks was defiently a typo. more like 150+- in three battalions.

Looking back over that post there are a few other typos... The US Marines dont have more than a few hundred soldiers. Those are cross attached from the US Army and other armys. The USMC does have 170,000+- Marines. There are slightly more LAV vehicals than tanks. Lump all the M1 tanks, LAV, and AAV7 together, including spares/Prepositioned Stocks/reserves and you might have 900 AFV.

>"The US Marines dont have more than a few hundred soldiers. Those are cross attached from the US Army and other armys. Lump all the M1 tanks, LAV, and AAV7 together, including spares/Prepositioned Stocks/reserves and you might have 900 AFV."< You are right, I thought the USMC had more AFV's due to the AA7 being developed. The 2,000 tank part was a typo. All in all, I made a pretty bad post...but aren't we allowed one every once in a while?

Golly Herc, I wonder if the Legionnaires had previous access to the course in FRENCH Guyana.
