Subject: Solving problems
french stratege    6/22/2009 9:11:12 PM
According to french newspaper Liberation and a well know commentator about french military, France would have avenged the death of 11 french engineers and technicians in Karachi Pakistan (working of the SSK Agosta contract ) by sending a commando who would have killed a Pakistanese general and broken the legs of 3 Admirals in retaliation. Indeed it is said that the bombing of french was done (using manipulated islamic groups) because some problem with briberies about the contracts. h*tp://www.liberation.fr/societe/0101575137-la-vengeance-clandestine-de-la-dgse

The claim is a bit incredible, FS. breaking the legs of three admirals??

Was the operation ever mounted?

It's not clear in the article. They give that as the goal but from the text it wasn't explicit that the operation was carried out.

So let me get my head round this... It's before coffee time it was someones birthday yesterday so I'm not firing on all cylinders...

You're saying that the French are traitors because they are also selling the Scorpene to the Indians?

Amd the commado is in the same tradition as the Suez?

And that the solution is for the Spanish to do it instead?

And what's the cartoon for?

Is France still selling the sub to Pakistan now?

Also GOG I doubt if the French military sent a guy to kill one of the senior military leaders of one country and break the legs of three others we will ever definitively know whether or not it actually happened. Not that it wouldn't be great if we could.

Herald12345    Not exactly.   6/23/2009 7:33:06 AM
It was a history lesson to take the arrogance out of French Strategy 's sails, which he needed^1.

Treachery, in this case, French^1: goes as far back at least as the worthless King of France, Francis I^1 making an alliance with the Ottoman sultan, Suleiman the Magnificent, right exactly when the Austrians were up their ears in janissaries outside the walls of Vienna. That's a far far fall for the nation that once produced Charles, the HAMMER, don't you think?.

Fortunately, for the honeur of France, there were a lot of individual Frenchmen and Poles as well as Germans manning those Vienna walls. So the 1%er scum^1 were thwarted then, as they are thwarted now.

As for Navantia, it just tickles me how many American companies are involved in those Spanish built "French" Scorpenes. Why buy DCN (India) when yoiu can get Electric Boat with a Spanish accent?

The reference to Suez was when our French "allies" joined with the British and the Israelis in their madcap 1956 Suez Canal scheme, in the middle of the October Hungarian Crisis right when it looked like NATO and the Russians might be going to war in Europe.

Eden, to me, was always a damned fool, but what was Guy Mollet's excuse?

^1 The one percenter is that one percent of the population of ANY nation who are absolute moral scum. Some of these scum always manage to place themseoves into positions of influence and power. Some American examples are Chris Dodd, Robert Gates, Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, John Boener, John Tower, Henry Kissinger, Tom Delay, Orin Hatch, etc.

For French examples, well........ Marwan Lahoud and that pack of thieves at Thales.......

GOG
What is not clear is that it was done in retaliation of bombing of 11 french technicians in Karachi or before, so the bombing of the french would be a retaliation.
Writer of the article is an independant military commentator and journalist rather close to french secret services.

Thanks for two quality threads FS http://www.strategypage.com/CuteSoft_Client/CuteEditor/Images/face1.gif" align="absMiddle" border="0" alt="" />. I was really interested by both articles. And thanks to Herald the articles on the subs were really interesting too.

So was the attack successful? I'd like to see proof, preferably pics of the Pakistani admirals in questions being pushed around in wheelchairs by various lackies.

Does Pakistan even have 3 admirals? One for each Zodiac hehehe
