Subject: US cold-weather gear question

What kind of cold-weather gear does the US have besides the fleece underlayer, M-65 field coat, and Gore-Tex suit? You'd think you'd need a heavier coat like the old M-1951. Searching on Amazon shows a thin-looking thing identified as a "parka".
