I have always wondered about the Russian navy ships armed with long range, high speed and low flying missiles. Those missiles are not rockets but small jet planes. In order to fly low and far at high speed, they need to be very large and carry plenty of fuel. And it can't be solid fuel, but liquid one, because we are not talking about rockets here. Those large missile are placed either on the deck or in inside VLS containers. I wonder what happens if one of those ships gets hit by hostile fire. What if all that liquid fuel catches fire ? Will those ships blow up like British battle cruisers in Battle of Jutland (World War I), when they were hit in the ammunition stores ?
