Subject: whats the true number of russia's nuclear stocpile?

I read in an article that the russian's have 10,000 nuclear warheads in reserve is that true??

i believe the us does.the way russia lets her fleet just sit and rust away i dont think she has the money for upkeep on that many warheads to make them reliable.someone probably knows more ,id like to hear some facts too.

Nuclear options are nothing but suicide options these days, so don't put too much value on them. The only plausable nuclear option that may be "limited" woudld possibly be naval, away from the city counter strikes.

besides the 17,000 intact nuclear warheads, they also have about 600 tons of weapons grade plutonium and uranium in raw stock.

This is silly. The Russian general staff has winnable war strategies using nukes. It's simple: why make it hard to kill your enemy? This is why people have nukes. When someone says nuke war is suicide, it is a big communist lie to feed bourgeois ignorance.
