Subject: Missle Defense: A faliure in every way
Andrew     12/5/2001 5:24:14 PM
the missle defense system is a proposterous idea. It will not only cost trillions of dollars, inherit weaknessess that makes it prone to faliure, but it would also take away precious money that would be far better off placed in educational programs and other domestic programs in the United States. In addition to the cost, & question of effectiveness, I wouldn't put such an expernisve piece of equipment in the hands of Bush who can't even pronounce the word "Subliminal"

I hate to be picuayne (that means nitpicky) Andrew but since you insult the President over petty things like mispronouncing one word in your post I thought I'd list a few words you seem unable to even spell, let alone pronounce. proposterous (not a word)- you mean preposterous? inheret (wrong word)- you mean iherent? weaknessess (2nd grade spelling)- weaknesses expernisve? (??) you mean expensive? Yet, you did manage to prove one point. More money is DESPERATELY needed for the education programs in our country, at least for some people. (You're also supposed to capitalize the first word in a sentence by the way)

Jay, I hate to be picayune (that means nitpicky), but you misspelled "picayune" as "picuayne." :-) The rest of your post was good, though! --Phoenix Rising

evlstu wrote: "The products of the US public school system never ceases to amaze me." ---------- It's tempting to point out the grammatical flaw in that sentence, but I forebear. I, too, am a product of the public school system. I attend a public university, and I will very likely attend a public university for professional school as well. One doesn't need the Ivy League Seal of Approval to qualify as intelligent. Try to keep that in mind when you launch your next personal attack on someone on this board. --Phoenix Rising
