how do u survive a nuclear, chemical or biological attack if you live in an urban environment? What do you need to survive 4-6 weeks.

I frankly am amused at the  notion that millions of city dwellers would be able to move into the country and live off the land.
 
Without preparation the masses will have the choice of starving to death or dieing of exposure in the wild v. a nasty death by plague caused by lack of infrastructure in the cities. Katrina should be a wake-up call for those who think that someone will parachute in and save you in a disaster. That includes either natural or man made.

According to this site, you go to the countryside and sit in a deep trench that is covered and filled with durable supplies for 2 Months. Keeping ventilation going as much as possible.

After that you have to get society/civilisation started up again as quickly as possible.
