Russian T90 vs American M1A2 Abrams - Which is better? If these tanks fought in battle, which would suffer more casualties, which one is superior? What are their advantages? Any information would be helpful.

Yes, i'd go for the 125mm gun too, seeing how the rounds just literally bounced off the Abrams' armor from point blank ranges.

"Yes, i'd go for the 125mm gun too, seeing how the rounds just literally bounced off the Abrams' armor from point blank ranges " With steel-cored 3BM-16, what do you expect? With DU 3BM-32 or 3BM-42M the dents on the Abrams would have been quite a bit deeper. But t800m101, the comment I made about the gun was a joke in relation to another comment somebody made ages ago in a thread of the same name, hence the quotation marks. You don't think a tanker like Mike_Golf would really favour the T-90 because of the autoloader, do you????

But I do love the autoloader. The fourth man on the crew is highly overrated! Besides, my gunner will look much better after we remove that "extra" arm.

..... and a 4th person doesn't really speed up maitenance and the crew doesn't really want the coffee and food cooked up by the 4th man do they. Oh, the Autoloader doesn't fart, either. Actually, the risk of jamming and losing an arm is somethime prefable to a loader with IBS...... Pucka

Well sometimes all the good points about 4th crew member are seriously still taken too far...wonder why there's never been such a debate was it necessary and wise to cut a number of crew from 5 to 4 after WWII because of maintenance and such issues! Wonder why no one insisting there that the 5th crew member was such a necessity... More people doing a given job is a nice thing. There's very much advantages in that arrangement. But in army everything isn't nice though, most of things ain't, and having served in both 3 and 4 men crewed tanks, I still sometimes wonder why there's such a fear and negative approach to reducing crew members. Maybe it's been too long to clearly remember all the bad moments...

"What are you talking about?" Another section of the forum, the fighter one, go there.

Apart from Boris having an indecent obsession with Russian kit, he's not one to dribble crap. ;) His weaps knowledge on russian fighters/missile combos is nothing to sneeze at either. [even if he does make bad choices at times.. ;) ] I would guess that boris has offended t800 due to the fact that he actually does provide responses of substance rather than the usual "the Eisenhower-53 can whip the the butt of the Zhukov-78 any day of the week" - or words to that effect. damn those russian designed phased loop digitised metrochons, they are just AESA killers...
