I think, but do not know, that if you look at GDP all african countries except maybe somalia, they have a higher GDP now than  during colonial days. but that is because industry makes every one produce more. Most of these states stood after the decolonisation with no industry, no one experienced in goverment, and with the formidable task of building an army and country out of a Collection of tribes. It was almost meant to go wrong. South Africa may be Unique in that case since it was a dominion and not a colony, and had mandela to give them a few years to train future leaders.

Unfortunetly, there is now scientific evidence that africans are genetically distinct, many would say inferior. All non-africans have neanderthal dna in them, which was another species of human, the asiatic also races have another species of human dna in them as well. Half breeds tend to be superior genetically than pure breeds.

 

Saying that, that's no reason to discriminatory. Just start up a eugenics program for african genes to catch up and problem solved.
