Is the U.S. Marine Corps Force Recon toughter than, Navy SEALs, Army Rangers, Delta, Special Forces, SAS, and the Airforce's Pararescue?

There is no way they are above Delta, the SAS, SF, or USAF pararescue. They are probably a little above the Rangers.

Another wasted thread. Are they better than "X" at what mission? The are the MAGTFs recon element. As opposed to Div recon which belongs to the GCE commander. Every unit you named have a different mission set. So which is the better fruit? an Apple, a Banana, a Orange, a Kiwi. Do you see where I'm going with this?

Certainly. I'd never choose a Delta team for a common tactical recon mission. However well they might be suited individually the overall team would not have the current training or background for it. conversely a Marine Recon team has little training for the door kicking commando ops of the Delta or Seals. Note also the average entry age into Marine Recon is lower than for the other two. Seal entrants are usually past drinking age and Delta looks for 'mature' mid level NCOs. Marines start entering the Recon units after a year or two in a ordinary battalion. Comparing with Rangers again you have two different missions. The Rangers are elite infantry battalions, with a fair ammount of recon training and some mission. But, primarily infantry. marine Recon are just that. Reconisance, they dont do much in the way of platoon, company, or battalion scale training. A huge difference there.

Force Recon is extremely good at Recon ops (I have studied them a little more), and the SEALs are extremely good at underwater operations, USAF Pararescue is extremely good at CSAR, but none of them overly good at commando style operations. The just don't spend the same amount of time training for the door kicking operations as Delta or SF, they have a different job. Force Recon is the nations premiere reconniasance force (there are rumors that they were in Iraq well before any other soldiers were...they were the first in), SEALs are the nations premiere SCUBA force, Special Forces is the nations premiere training force (and are very good at door kicking), Delta is the nations premiere counterterrorist force (the best at 'door kicking'), USAF is the nations premiere Combat Search and Rescue force, and the Rangers are the nations premiere light infantry (they are our 'shock troops'). They all have their place, and they are all bad a**. Force Recon is awesome if you want to HALO into a hostile country, set up and live in a hide-site for days at a time with 3-4 other guys, looking at a road or building for hours on end for any activity. There best weapon is stealth.

If you are compairing "toughness" as a factor as to weather or not you should join this special force, then you are joining for the wrong reason, and will most likely fail. Force Recon missions serve as an observation of unknown teriorty to a company commander before he sends in amass of troops. Recon Marines compliment other special forces, rather than having an individual purpose. However, the main difference between SEALs and FR is this - SEALS deploy via water, and do not travle too far inland. FR is usually deployed via jumping, and are used for more inland reconasonse.
