Hey Folks, I was wondering how many warships and amphib units would be needed to support or reinfore South Korea? Sincerely, Keith

To achieve the mission of keeping the SLOCs open...more than enough. A recent exercise showed up to seven CVBGs could be practically surged at one time, although it's unlikely they'd all be sent for a small conflict like Korea. Amphib groups aren't quite as essential as we've already got a significant US troop presence in Korea. Not sure how well they'd serve as TMD ships for the peninsula.
