Subject: What Army has the best camouflage pattern for their uniforms?

I myself think MARPAT would provide real good cover in the intended terrain (I am a lot more pessimistic about the US Army's ACU pattern). But other then that what are good camouflage patterns? And what patterns are just plain cool looking? :-)

The ACU has been out for a couple of years now - is anybody feeling more generous towards it than you did originally?

To me it still seems too green for deserts, brown Fall or Winter grasslands, mostly rocky areas, etc.

My travels take my all over teh US and further working with the US Army, Marines and a few others.  In certain conditions and lighting conditions the ACU is amazing.  Dawn and Dusk especially.  So in answer to teh question I would say its grown on me.  But it absolutley is not a Multi Environment Pattern .Ft Bragg in Summer its atrocious.  But just down the road at Lejeune the Marines dissappear in MARPAT.  Army at NTC in the height of summer its pretty good especially when nicely faded and dusty.  But again down the road at 29 Palms the Marines desert pattern is better.
Personally I have worn Crye Multi Cam in all environments and been the envy of ALL.  Its as good as a multi environment pattern can be.  It also has some serious "Cool Points" associated.  If you want a "one pattern fits most" it kicks the ACU of the field of play.  But if I had to trust my life to not being spotted on the two way range I would like the option of choosing between Multicam, and the 2 versions of MARPAT.
