I'm joining the USMC myself, because I like being swift, but I can understand joining the Army too, I hear you get to play more with your weopons. lol. and, you have numbers on your side, not only that, almost unlimited ammo and supplies, and, you get to pound the hell out of the enemy with heavier equitment.

Warrior, You've got it backwards. The Army is heavier and has more numbers. Also, neither service has unlimited ammo, unless you go spec ops, where your ammo available per soldier is greater than with conventional forces. Even if your only planning on one term, I'd look into your choice more carefully, as each service has its own advantages. For example, if you want to jump from airplanes, then the Army is the choice for you. If you want to spend time on ships, then the Marines is the choice for you. If you want to spend time close to home, then look at whose got installations closer to home; there's no guaratee that you'll be stationed at those installations, but you have a better opportunity than if you chose the other service. Those are some very simple examples, but you seem to be basing your decision on rumor rather than fact.

That Beret looks like something from the French Army or the Girl Scouts. They must get discounts. All the Mammas Boys can be closer to home, vice having a choice of Camp Lejeune NC, Pendleton and 29 Palms Ca or Okinawa Japan. (now ends my once a year post picking on the Army)( I do however, reserve the right to continue at a later date)

Cav can wander around out front trying to be "sneaky" in Bradleys all they want too. And people think infantrymen are dumb..
