NORFOLK (May 23, 2007) - Sailors assigned to Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) return to Naval Station Norfolk after the longest deployment by a carrier strike group since 2003. The Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group (IKE CSG) deployed Oct. 3, 2006 to the 5th Fleet Area of Responsibility to support ongoing operations including efforts in Iraq, Afghanistan and Maritime Operations in the region.
