MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Nov. 17, 2007) A Sailor assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Bainbridge (DDG 96) helps guide a remote mine-hunting vehicle (RMV) into the Mediterranean Sea. Bainbridge launched the RMV in order to test a new software program installed into the remote mine-hunting system. The RMV is used to detect, classify and localize undersea mines.
