Military Photo: C-17 Formation

Archives

05/13/05 - C-17 Globemaster IIIs fly in formation during a Composite Force Operations (CFO) exercise on May 13, 2005. The historic flight of 16 C-17s from Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., to Biggs Army Air Field, Texas, was the largest C-17 formation ever to fly across the country. The CFO is a U.S. Air Force Mobility Weapons School weapons instructor course employing a realistic scenario requiring the students to plan and execute airdrop and air refueling operations in a dynamic, mature theater.
