The Air Force has been negotiating with its most deadly enemy over whether or not it would buy new B-2 bombers. This deadly enemy is not Russia, China, or even the Congress, but the Pentagon. The defense chiefs want more B-2s to conduct stealthy attacks on terrorists and blunt enemy tank attacks until our own tanks can reach the scene, but the Air Force refused to give up its F-22s or Joint Strike Fighters to pay for more of the heavy bombers that it regards more as a weapon of politicians than something the working Air Force wants. The deal is that ten more B-2s will be bought, but the Air Force will only have to pay for five of them. The others will be paid for by increasing the overall Air Force budget.--Stephen V Cole
