Reserve and Guard soldiers activated for duty during the emergency since 11 September will be awarded the relatively new Armed Forces Reserve Medal. (The ribbon is gold with three blue stripes on each edge and one broader blue stripe in the center.) These ribbon will be fitted with an "M" device standing for duty during a mobilization.
