A new CIA report is confident that the Y2K bug will not cause (or allow) the unintended launch of nuclear missiles, but points out that the problem could produce a series of simultaneous humanitarian crisis in major Third World countries such as India and Indonesia. These could overtax US airlift capacity if it is tasked to deliver emergency relief supplies to dozens of sites at the same time. --Stephen V Cole
