The Army is considering British and Australian aircraft armor materials for the RAH-66 Comanche. In theory, the new armor would provide more protection but weigh less. Weight is a major issue with the Comanche, which has steadily gotten heavier as new capabilities are added and newly-found problems are solved.--Stephen V Cole
