The Su-37 is Russia's answer to the new US F-22. Like the American aircraft, the Su-37 has comparable thrust vector control. The Su-37 also has front and rear facing radars, a max speed of Mach 2, a range of 3,500 kilometers, max weight of 37 tons and one pilot. First flight was in 1996. The aircraft is actually a further development of the Su-27. Russia is short of money to develop and manufacture the Su-37 unless it is sold abroad. The Su-27 has been sold to China.
