A Ugandan army Mi-24 helicopter gunship operating just across the border in southern Sudan, came upon a large LRA unit, returning from a raid and hauling a lot of loot with them. The helicopter, one of five the Ugandans have, attacked and killed over fifty of the rebels as the LRA men scattered into the bush. Ugandan troops later arrived on the scene to count the bodies and collect weapons and documents.
