The army said it captured a 12.7mm gun in Pader after an attack on an LRA hideout (evidence that the rebels are hauling heavier hardware around for their raids).

District authorities in Kitgum and Gulu are trying to mobilize the young men to join newly formed militias (the Frontier Guards and Elephant Brigade, respectively) to help the army fight the rebels. In Kitgum, they want to raise about 5,000 LDUs (or local defense units). - Adam Geibel
