The Ugandan Army redeployed an infantry battalion operating inside the Congo (DRC). The battalion has moved to the Rwebisengo area (northeast DRC near the Ugandan border). At one time Uganda had 14 battalions in the DRC. Officially, Uganda has only one battalion in the DRC. We say officially because reports on the ground indicate two Ugandan battalion-sized elements are in the DRC, between Bunia (DRC) and the Ugandan border. There may indeed be only one battalion headquarters responsible for the forces.
