Ugandan Army spokesman Maj. Shaban Bantariza told The New Vision on 10 March that the UPDF had advanced 40 km into the Sudan and were patrolling that side of the border to drive LRA rebels away. About 500 rebels had split into small groups, in an attempt to dodge and disorganize UPDF strategy. Troops from the UPDF's 4th Division were heavily deployed on both sides of the border, in blocking positions. - Adam Geibel
