Fighting continues in eastern Sudan, with the governments of Sudan and Eritrea accusing each other of being responsible. Eritrea has apparently provided support for the rebels, and the Sudanese government has ruled with a heavy, often bloody, hand. Few reporters are in the area, and even those that are often get their information second hand. All we know is that irregular fighters are attacking government forces, and the Sudanese are fighting back. This includes air attacks on rebels, or residential areas where rebels are suspected of hiding out.
