The war against the people of Darfur continues. Daily casualties amount to a few dozen dead, and many more wounded. In about a year and a half, an estimated 30,000 civilians have been killed. The rebels in Darfur have inflicted far fewer casualties. The Sudanese air force doesn't have many warplanes, but they do have dozens of helicopters and transports that can serve as reconnaissance aircraft, making it difficult for the rebels to move around, especially in large numbers.
