Sudans President Omar al-Beshir accused the United States of trying to split Sudan in two. Beshir accused the Bush Administration of supporting the southern Sudanese rebels, specifically the SPLA. Beshir said there was no difference between Bush and former US President Bill Clinton. "There is no difference (between Bush and Clinton). The two are seeking by all means to destroy Sudan. The U.S. gave the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), the Combined resistance group that includes both southern rebel organizations and northern opposition groups, three million dollars.
