Two bombs went off in the southern city of Koronadal, killing 13 and wounding 26. A local gang called the Abu Moslem took credit and threatened more bombings unless they were paid $75,000. The group claims affiliation with Abu Sayyaf and has been demanding extortion money for over a year. The same group was blamed for a similar bombing in April that left ten dead. It's also thought that the MILF is actually behind the bombings, but won't take credit for them, and that the Abu Moslem group is just trying to take advantage of the situation.
