Two more bombs were found and defused in the capital suburbs. This makes for a total of 13 bombs found around the capital in the last week. All were claimed by a new organization; IFSA (Indigenous Federal State Army), that demands the country be divided into three federal states (for Christians, Moslems and tribal peoples.) IFSA says the bombs are a warning and that the IFSA must be recognized and its demands considered. The police believe that some regular political group is behind the IFSA and that they are just playing political games. Meanwhile, on Basilan, troops caught up with more Abu Sayyaf, killing five and wounding several others. The pursuit was made more difficult by heavy rains.
