 Rebels attacked 100 kilometers north of the capital, but were repulsed, leaving two rebel leaders and three soldiers dead. There was also some property damage and vehicle theft. In another incident, twenty rebels were killed when their truck was ambushed. The government controls most of the northern areas now, but small rebel bands continue to raid and attack.
