  Egyptian diplomats continue to make progress in getting Palestinians and Israelis to make enough concessions to achieve a new peace deal. One of the key components is the expectation that the United States will come up with billions of dollars in aid for the Israelis (to pay for evacuation people from some of the settlements) and for Palestinians (for reconstruction, although much of it can be considered a large bribe for the Palestinian officials who regularly take a cut of any foreign aid.)
