Several small bombs went off in southeastern Iran, damaging an oil well and several sections of pipeline. Iranian Arabs angry with the government were believed responsible. Most of Iran's oil (4.2 million barrels a day are being shipped) is in the southeast. This is an area that used to be mainly Arab. But Indo-European Iranians (who run the country and are about half the population) have been moving in, and displacing Arabs.
