A son of Osama bin Laden was arrested and expelled, apparently to Saudi Arabia. Several hundred other suspected al Qaeda members have also been seized. Religious conservatives have been offering refuge for al Qaeda members, despite the governments official anti-terrorist policy. The religious groups provide such illegal sanctuary for religious and financial reasons. The government has to be careful grabbing the illegal al Qaeda "guests" lest they spark an armed confrontation. If the government is handing over any of these al Qaeda members to the US, everyone wants to keep it a secret lest the Islamic radicals make something of it.
