Iran is producing its own copies of the TOW anti-tank missile (which it bought before he revolution in the 1970s) for use by vehicles and aircraft originally fitted with the US missile. The new Toophan is 1160mm long, 150mm in diameter, and weighs 18.5kg. It has a range of 3,850m and a top speed of 310m/second. It has a single warhead able to penetrate 550mm of armor. The improved Toophan-2 is a bit heavier (19.1kg) but can penetrate 760mm of steel armor protected by reactive armor.--Stephen V Cole
