Over 6,000 tons of relief supplies have been delivered to Aceh, some 1,800 tons by American troops. Much of the American effort has been via heavy lift U.S. Marine Corps helicopters. American troops will start withdrawing next month. Some foreign troops are already leaving. Most of the supplies are coming in by truck or boat.
