 Fighting continues in Aceh, with five rebels killed today. Meanwhile, Pakistan expelled six Indonesians who were studying illegally as Islamic schools. The six students are thought to be members of Islamic radical groups. 

Meanwhile, in a town 620 kilometers, soldiers and police fought gun battles with each other, leaving a soldier dead and two police wounded. The soldiers and police have apparently had disputes over who would control legal and illegal enterprises they run on the side. Corruption and lack of discipline among troops and police has long been a problem. And fighting the growing terrorist threat is made more difficult because of this corruption.
