 The government has given the military another six months to pacify Aceh. The top separatist leaders have not been caught. The government says it has captured 485 and over 2,000 rebels or suspects arrested. Some 400 civilians have died, and the army blames the rebels (and rebels and many journalists blame the army.) Most civilians still appear to favor making Aceh a separate country.
