Police have arrested three Dayaks on Borneo for instigating the current violence. The men were upset about not getting government jobs. This has long been a major grievance among Dayaks, as better educated settlers from other islands get the jobs and dominate local commerce. The three men paid $1500 to others to organize and lead the attacks, which soon tool on a life of their own because of the festering anger against migrants.
