In Pakistan, religious leaders called a one day strike to protest the violence by Islamic radicals. Last month, the clerics declared attacks on mosques as "un-Islamic." But the attacks continue. Some clerics blame the United States, and the West in general, for the violence among Moslems in Pakistan. In fact, the violence goes back a long time, and is based on ethnic and tribal differences, and disputes.
