In Pakistan's southwest Baluchistan province, two soldiers died when they hit a landmine laid by feuding tribesmen. Government troops and officials have not been able to get the Marri and Luni tribes to stop fighting with each other. The Baluchi tribes have long been known as the most warlike in the region. For centuries, Baluchis have organized themselves into mercenary units and hired themselves out to whoever could meet the payroll.
